This award celebrates the achievements of teams or individuals who demonstrate excellence and commitment to improving and managing environmental and sustainability impact when maintaining playing surfaces or undertaking an innovative project with the view to helping build a more sustainable and better future.  

The award also recognises commitment to best practice and implementation of new environmental and sustainable initiatives and innovations.  

Who can enter? 

This category is open to any individual or team who is undertaking or involved in an environmental or sustainable project.  

Entry / Nomination criteria: 

Individuals and/or teams can enter or be nominated by an employer or manager or third-party. 

Judging Criteria: 

The judges will be looking for evidence to support your entry in the following areas: 

• Evidence of how the environmental and sustainability impact and/or initiative(s) were identified, planned, and measured. 
• Evidence of raising awareness around the initiative(s) to promote the scheme among employees or team members (where applicable) 
• Evidence of active engagement of employees/team members/key stakeholders in the environmental and sustainability initiative. 
• Evidence of the successful impact of the environmental and sustainability initiative, including relevant data where applicable. 
• Judges will take into consideration any legislative, environmental and sustainability directives.
