Bowls & Croquet Groundsperson/Team of the Year

This award celebrates the best in fine turf management at bowling greens and croquet lawns across the UK.

The award considers the quality of the playing surface achieved with the available resources such as making the most out of the budget available to the individual/team, use of machinery and level of sport required for end users.

Who can enter?

The award is open to both individuals, in-house teams, volunteers, local authority, and contractors. The award is judged taking in to account the 12 months prior to the award category application submission date.

Entry / Nomination criteria:

Individuals and/or teams can enter or be nominated by an employer, manager or third party.

Judging Criteria:

The judges will be looking for evidence to support your entry in the following areas:

  • Evidence of actions of improvement that lead to the quality of the playing surface.
  • Entrants/Nominees must demonstrate strong technical ability when tending to their playing surface.
  • Evidence of best use of machinery available when tending to the playing surface.
